I’m tired mum

I’m knackered.  3 days no sleep isn’t a good thing to do.

I started on Sunday and crashed on Wednesday morning.  The four boot printing failures drained me.  Trying to identify the fault in a machine and process I have no experience with is exhausting me.  I have no idea what I am doing.  I am behaving just like “the clients” that drive me crazy.  Keep pushing buttons and see if something changes.  I have to stop, go back to step 1 and repeat exhaustively until I know everything there is to be known about that step.  Bed leveling until I can do it blind folded.  Calibrate extrusion to the exact millimetre.  Set the E steps in the firmware (?!?!?!?!?).  Determine the retraction rate. Apparently that can change with each different type of filament (*OMG*).  Experiment with the head temperature.  What’s the best way to clean the bed plate.

Remember that each of these tests can take hours.

I crashed onto the couch about 12:30am, woke at 7:30 for my drugs and muesli then slept again until 8:30pm.  Now it is 10:30pm and I am waiting for a small test print (30 mins).  Tonight’s goal is to be back on the couch by midnight and hopefully sleep thru to 8:00 tomorrow.  Nigh nigh.
